COVID-19 Spring 2024 Booster Vaccination Programme

We are pleased to announce the launch of our COVID-19 Spring 2024 Booster Vaccination Programme. The aim is to protect those most vulnerable to severe illness from the virus. Based on guidance from the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI), the spring booster is available to the following patient groups:

  • Adults aged 75 years and over, including those who will turn 75 years old on or before 30th June 2024.
  • Residents in care homes for older adults.
  • Individuals aged six months and over who are immunosuppressed, including patients receiving treatment for conditions such as cancer or specific long-term chronic conditions.

Vaccination for Care Home Residents and Housebound Patients

We are collaborating closely with local care homes to ensure that all eligible residents receive their booster doses.

For housebound patients who meet the eligibility criteria, we will administer vaccinations in their homes, ensuring accessibility for those unable to attend a clinic in person.

For All Other Eligible Patients

Towards the end of April, we will organise COVID clinics in alignment with NHS England guidelines for the booster program.

If you are eligible, expect to receive an invitation shortly, allowing you to book your booster appointment at one of our clinics.

Together we can continue to keep those patients most at risk protected.
